The 10th Annivarsary of International Anti-Doping Seminar in Asia & Oceania was opened in Sapporo, Japan on 7th December 2016. This is an annual seminar which the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) holds for the anti-doping family in Asia & Oceania. This edition of the seminar was based on World Anti-Doping Code Monitoring and Effective and Quality Practice through Partnerships. The seminar was officially opened by Mr. Tetsuya Kimura, Director-General, Japan Sports Agency, Government of Japan and Mr. Olivier Niggli, Director General, World Anti-Doping Agency.
The participants of the seminar was given the opportunity to learn and practice the sport of Curling. The venue is where the Curling event will be held for the 2017 Asian Winter Games.
BM visited the new head office of SLADA which is under construction. The building is scheduled to be finished in 2017.
A news conference was held in conjunction with the Board Meeting in Sri Lanka. The conference was held right after the completion of the two days Board Meeting in Hilton Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Tom May and Kazuhiro Hayashi from WADA, Chairman of SARADO Prof Arjuna, BM Dr. Shrestha and DG of SLADA Dr. Seevali held the News Conferenc.
The second edition of SARADO Board Meeting for 2016 was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 6-7 November 2016.
The Minister of Sports of Sri Lanka, met the Board Member of SARADO and WADA Officials in get together dinner hosted by WADA.

The 4th RADO Conference was held in Centara Grand Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand from 16th - 18th January 2016.
JADA hosted for the 7th year running an International Anti-Doping Seminar in Asia.

The 2012 edition of SARADO Board meeting was held in Termalinca Resort and Spa, Thimpu, Bhutan from 4 - 5 June 2012.
The annual edition of SARADO Board Meeting 2011 was held in Nasandhura Palace Hotel, Male', Maldives from 8-9 September 2011.
SARADO Board Meeting for 2010 was held in Maldives, Boduhithi Resort and Spa.
A Doping Control Officer Training Program was held in Male', Maldives in December 2007. A total of 15 participants from the five countries participated in the training. The training was conducted by representatives from UK Sport. The purpose of the training was to prepare DCO's to conduct doping procedures within the SARADO members. The training program was a success as all participants were able to pass as DCO's.
A strategic planning meeting was held in Maldives on 17th May 2007 to decide upon the activities regarding Anti-Doping in Sport within the region. Delegates from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka participated in this meeting. The major resolution of this meeting was to form South Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization.
South Asia Anti--Doping Program Development Strategic Planning Meeting was held at Bandos Island Resort in Maldives from 16 - 17 May 2007. The meeting was inaugrated by the Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr. Hussain Hilmy. Director of WADA Mr. Rob Koehler, Director General of Olympic Council of Asia Mr. Hussain Al-Musallam and Director WADA Asia Regional Office Mr. Kazuhiro Hayashi attended the meeting.
